Rustic Eco Luxury

This completely self-contained, modern concept floating eco pod is a stylish getaway boathouse right on the Murray River .
It offers a spacious fully functional kitchen for those who love to cook, a Webber barbecue for those who don’t like to cook, a fishing rod and tackle for those who want to catch what they cook, plus two outdoor sun chairs and a hammock for those waiting to be fed. The boathouse is pet friendly and sleeps up to two people.

When you’re in full relaxation mode, the wrap-around timber deck offers sensational views directly facing the river. Grab a deck chair or chill in the hammock. Soak in the sunset and embrace the fun of the river life! When the sun decides to set, you may wish to light the fire or soak in a steaming outdoor clawfoot bath. There’s even a desk for the creative types and a bose sound system for the music lovers. Your pets are welcome on board too!

Accessibility: There are some limitations with the Boathouse with steps and close proximity to open water. Please contact us directly to discuss any specific needs.

Sustainable design

Bill’s Boathouse was built in 2016 by Chris Clarke, an award-winning builder. His vision and passion is about sustainable design and building a connection with nature.

The Boathouse was designed and built with sustainability in mind, minimizing impact on the environment, including being built offsite from the river, with mainly recycled materials. There is also a focus on low energy use. Every material is low in embodied energy and has a low carbon footprint, using sustainable products e.g. LED lights, louvre windows for cross flow ventilation, double insulation to floor, walls and ceilings and double-glazed low energy glass.
